Circa 1960s Vintage ILGWU Bustier

This Circa mid 50s to 60s Vintage ILGWU Bustier is a rare find.  Every so often I have the honour or sourcing a very special piece. This piece is an example of a vintage gem. The ILGWU, International Ladies Garment Worker Union was founded in 1900 and urged Americans not to buy imported goods.  'Buy American: The Job You Save Might Be Your Own'.  They demanded justice and fair representation.

Featuring intricate black lace overlay and four garter straps for added functionality. The hook and eye fastening at the back ensures a secure fit. This piece exemplifies the craftsmanship of its era, making it a valuable addition for collectors and vintage enthusiasts.
